As the former Owner of SWPA for over thirty years, Micki (she/her) continues her work as a Social Worker in helping her clients, and is a mentor for other therapists and a frequent public speaker. She facilitates self-discovery in her clients through compassionate confrontation, leading to permanent transformational changes that improve clients’ lives.

Micki has an uncanny ability to build immediate rapport and comfort with clients, which helps facilitate powerful work and growth.

When appropriate, Micki uses the Christian principles of forgiveness, grace, and love to guide clients in developing healthy relationships with themselves and others.

Micki is a regular on the Great Day Houston TV show with host Deborah Duncan and is a mental health consultant with Channels 11, 2 and 13 in Houston. She has been featured in several magazines, presents on radio talk shows, and has appeared twice on The Oprah Show.

Micki strongly believes the process of psychotherapy not only can give you freedom, but deeper happiness.
