Queer-focused Codependency/Disorganized Attachment Process Group
Codependency is a deeply rooted pattern of thinking and behaviors of sacrificing ourselves in some way to elicit a response from others. Sometimes this is conscious, often it is not. Regardless of intention, it impacts our relationships and how we show up in them, often to the detriment of healthy, fulfilling connections.
This codependency/disorganized attachment style process group offers a supportive environment where individuals can explore their patterns of codependent behavior and develop healthier relationships. Through sharing experiences and insights with others facing similar challenges, participants can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
This group dynamic fosters empathy, validation, and a sense of community, which can be invaluable in breaking free from codependent patterns that prevent us from having healthy, loving connections. Additionally, receiving feedback and guidance from a trained facilitator and others walking this walk helps individuals cultivate self-awareness and learn practical strategies for setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and fostering healthier relationships. Overall, participating in a codependency process group can lead to increased self-esteem, improved interpersonal skills and relationships, and a greater sense of empowerment in one's life.
